Well hello again everyone. This week I want to share a funny story that actually happened to me. The names in the story are fictional but the events are one hundred percent true!!
This particular story takes place at a club I worked at in Japan. If you haven’t been to this beautiful country, you have to know one thing, the Japanese love to party.

When you think of Dj Addy, you think of three turntables mixing at the same time, with an unmatched precision, while wear a toque in hot sweaty nightclubs. His deep, throbbing bass line sound and style as enabled him to hold down a former residency at Guvernment Nightclub and taken him to gigs in Mexico, US, and Exit Festival in Belgrade, Serbia. He’s also held it down with international superstars like Paul Oakefold, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler and Bad Boy Bill.
Hamilton is no stranger to hundreds of skateboarders showing off their tricks and abilities at the many skate parks around the city. On August 15th and 16th the Annual Hamilton Sk8 Jam is back to allow some local skaters a chance to prove themselves.
“It’s the longest running skateboard competition of it’s nature,” said skateboard shop owner and member of Hamilton Skateboard Assembly (HAS) Conrad Hotrum.
Michael “Deko-ze” Babb began his career in the club scene in 1993, with the inception of the Plastic Puppet Motive. PPM was a Saskatoon based events company who created themed events for people wanted something different. These 3 day events had people bused in from Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg to bringing everyone together. In 1997, he moved to Toronto to pursue bigger opportunities and since has become a staple in the Canadian dance music scene.
To the majority of the musical world, most people see grunge music as dead. However, Hamilton’s own Autistic Love seems to be proving that the days of the grunge-sound seem to be far from over.
