They started together in high school as High Voltage, playing hard and battling out the bands. Their first big performance was played at Gage Park, for the Y108 Rock and Roll picnic. Once they got a taste of the real deal it was a race from there.
Their true talent and great ambition has brought them to who they are known as today, Dean Lickyer. These Hamilton boys have made a big name for themselves; playing shows anywhere and everywhere in and out of Hamilton. Their performance has only increased with each show, bringing energy and giving a rush to their crowd.
Josh Alvernia (lead singer) has a voice hitting amazing high strong empowering notes that hits a feeling inside of you. He stays true to Rock and Roll with moves of this generations Mick Jagger. His stage presence is unforgettable. Sean Royle (guitar) will amaze you and put you in a daze. He uses his guitar like a paintbrush and paints out Rock and Roll in front of your very own eyes. Shredding each note, ripping apart your mind, the sound is dead sexy. Eric Martin (drums) hits his percussion like lightning and thunder, giving the music such intensity. Josh feeds off of it, his feet going crazy and jumping in the air. Justin Bozzo (bass) looks smooth, plays smooth and and gives the band a mellow vibe throughout all of it.
Together they create a style with sound. A style that is the Rock and Roll our parents all listened to, yet still new and hyped up for this decade.
At such a young age, they have already toured across boarders with fans tripling. They passed the test on Disband, opened for KISS and now recently signed over to Underground Records, touring this fall with Flogging Molly. They received $10,000.00 from Gene Simmons himself at the Canadian Music Week. Gene attended the Canadian Music Week back in March, donating the bundle of money to the best performing sound there and Dean Lickyer took the show.
It is only going to get better for them from this point on. Their classic soul meets new fire proving that Rock and Roll will never die. They will give you a performance full of sweat, energy, talent and soul. Watching them since the days they were known as High Voltage, never once have they gotten old or lost. They only keep growing and getting bigger and better, with true ambition and talent, these guys have what it takes to rock your world.
