Tommy Outlaw - Live at O Lounge - August 15th

Attitude, energy and party... this mix reeks of all three.  It comes of out the gates with 5 thumpers in the first 12 minutes and the energy keeps rising as the set progresses. Tommy's excellent track selection, set flow and ability to rock the party is apparent, dropping tunes from Steve Aoki, Donald Glaude, Wolfgang Gartner, Fake Blood, Alex Kenji, Oliver Giacomatto, unreleased music from Dj Dan & Deadmau5 and yes, new tunes from Zombie Nation.

Beginning with electro and making a nice transition into electro-tech/tech-house about 2/3rds into it, Tommy keeps the down time between tracks non-existent and the pace moves along nicely throughout the entire mix. One down fall of Tommy's early mixing style is slightly muddy EQing at times, but hardly a factor in the overall enjoyment of this mix.

This is definitely a must-download live dj mix for your 3rd generation 64gb ipod to keep you on upbeat wherever you go.

 

Brief Bio:
Tommy Outlaw has played in Las Vegas mega club Jet located in the Mirage Hotel, Circa in Toronto, Dose/Lifeforce events at Turbo in its hay-day and WEMF. He's also djed along side Don Glaude, Dj Dan, Green Velvet, Chris Lake, Chris Anderson and Terry Mullen. You can catch him weekly in Hamilton at Koi in Hess Village on Friday nights.
